For nearly 40 years, M & J Toys has been a leading family-owned wholesale distributor serving the hobby and gift industry from our home in Los Angeles, California.

Our story began when the Quach family (Vinh, Kieu, Minh, John, Kelly, Jennifer, and Ha Le) came to America as refugees escaping the Vietnam War. After a period in a refugee camp in Indonesia, they were sponsored by a church in Arizona, which brought them to the United States. They soon moved to Los Angeles in search of greater opportunities. The family took on any work they could find, from processing chili peppers to assembling and selling bicycles and fans at local swap meets.

This entrepreneurial drive led them to the toy industry, and in 1987, they founded M & J Toys. From those early days of importing novelty products, we have grown to become one of the most influential companies in the industry and a leading specialist with a singular focus: die-cast model cars.

We now carry exclusive product lines from various manufacturers, branded as MiJo Exclusives. The name is a nod to “mijo” (Spanish for “my son”) and is also a wordplay for Minh and John, the sons of Vinh and Kieu.

Our mission, born from that same family hard work, remains built on three core principles: quality merchandise, competitive pricing, and exceptional customer service. We pride ourselves on sourcing the newest and most exciting models as soon as they hit the market.
